Being "the mother" on occasion myself, let me just say stop it with the guilt sister! He's happy, he's well cared for, you're allowed to chill and have some mommy time on occasion. It won't hurt him one bit and it'll be good for you. So stop the guilt and just enjoy it!!! Run around naked get your eye brows waxed, or something else silly just for you!

No, no, no. Put that guilt away, sister. It's not as if you are TAKING ADVANTAGE of the school on a day when you could theoretically take care of your child. Because you know what? It's not a babysitter. It's school. And if you're feeling guilty that Moosh might miss a mama-day, put that guilt away, too, because he's is going to school not just for childcare but because it's SCHOOL. No need to teach him about playing hooky this early!

wow. i can totally feel you here. This is not a logical thing you can rationalize away, unfortunately. When I feel this way, I take the time, feeling guilty all the way, then smother my kids with affection when I get them again. Works for all of us.
I hope you do not have people in your life who are "helping" you feel guilty about that. I do. Sucks.
